There are a variety of trees and plants here and the arboretum and park showcases some of the largest plum trees in the state. There are pine trees, many oak trees, cherry trees, and others here as well. Moss and Spanish moss abounds, hanging from several of the larger trees. Bartram visited the area in the 1770s while searching and exploring the florda and fauna.
