EE1780''THE AZIMUTH MARK, A STANDARD DISK STAMPED PINE MT 1941, IS
EE1780''CEMENTED IN A DRILL HOLE IN THE SOUTH END OF A CONCRETE CULVERT
EE1780''AT THE WEST EDGE OF THE PAVED ROAD AND ABOUT THE SAME ELEVATION
EE1780''AS THE ROAD SURFACE.

This azimuth was set in 1941 and shows the 67 years of wear. The original mark that this azimuth serves has a history of being destroyed and this mark was finally set to help hold its location. Currently the mark that this azimuth references is in question as to whether it can be recovered.

This disk has been damaged by machinery it appears. I suspect mowers have grazed it several times. The disk is solid but looks like it has been beat by a hammer or some heavy implement.
Azimuth Condition: Marked/Scarred

Your Directions:
From Ga Hwy 20 (exit 290 on I-75 go east) and turn right on Ga 20 Spur (Hwy 294) to Center Rd and turn left. Go about 0.1 miles and turn right on a road (Center Baptist Church is on the left). About 100 yards on the right is a culvert and the mark is on the top of the culvert at the south end.
