The Mansion in the village of Harrold provides a contrast with the rest of the smaller houses in the vicinity. It stands on the western edge of the village within its own formal grounds. It dates from the 17th century.

There is not a lot known about The Mansion as it is a private property. The only information which is circumspect could be that The Mansion was once attached to the Priory and was erected by William Farrar in the late 16th / early 17th century. This house matches the description given with a tiled roof and stone construction. This was used as labourer’s dwellings before being bought by Dr Somerville.
Mansion Lane in Harrold is a quiet road leading to a footpath to New Road and Priory Farm. Within the grounds of the house are many deer grazing.
