This neon monarch must have been quite a sight back when it fully lit up. From the look of things, the shop has been closed for awhile. It is located along Tower Avenue (was part of US Route 99) in the historic downtown district of Centralia.

Tower Avenue was originally a portion of U.S. Route 99 that passed through downtown Centralia. The downtown district is full of great historic architecture and vintage neon and has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
One of the signs that a traveller along 99 would have seen is this unique neon butterfly. The restaurant is no longer open but the sign is in great shape (although only the lower body portion lights up.)
State: Washington
Nearest City: Centralia
Type: Americana - Motel, diner, roadside attraction, etc.
