The website is temporarily down and the station was closed so I was unsuccessful in finding out much information. I did learn the Bamber Lake Vol. Fire Company was awarded $285k grant by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office for Domestic Preparedness to purchase a new pumper fire truck.
One thing I did notice is there are a series of warning sirens mounted on huge poles all connected to this central location. I suppose being located in the Pine Barrens, fires are always imminent so a fire warning system needed to be implemented.
Across the street is a Smokey Bear sign. The fire department is located near the Double Trouble State Forest.
