Brentor from West Blackdown. The old photo was taken about 1920. It shows Blackdown School (on the left with the large windows,) which opened in 1890 and closed in 1918. In the old photo just on the far right just above the cottage roof you can see Brentor Station which was built in 1890 at the same time as the London and South West Railway Company laid their track. Unfortunately the trees are obstructing the view in the modern photo. On the skyline is Brentor Church which was built about 1130 and was rebuilt about 1400.
