This is 1 of 2 Civil War Monuments that sit on the Elkhorn Tavern grounds.
And are the only 2 monuments on the Battlefield.
This monument is in memory of the Confederate Generals who were killed here, Benjamin McCulloch of Texas, James McIntosh of Arkansas and William Y. Slack of the Missouri State Guard.

It was paid for by the people of Benton County, Arkansas and was dedicated in 1887.
This is one of my favorite tours of the area.
I learn something new each time I visit.
There is so much to learn and so little time.

As always have fun be safe and
