This monument was erected on the grounds of the National Emergency Training Center in Emmittsburg, Maryland. The NETC is also the home of the National Fire Academy.
*** Since this is a Federal Facility, it is subject to Homeland Security considerations. You will need to check in with the Security office to be allowed on the facility. Addtionally you can visit the Fallen Firefighter Memorial which is at this facility and adjacent to this monument.

Text on the memorial: Three firemaen raised a flag at ground zero in silent tribute to those brave firefighters who answered the call. This noble flag is raised permantly in honor of those heroes and all who serve this great nation . May God continue to bless America!
