Long Description:

Once called “Chanticleer Point” and the location of the famous Chanticleer Inn, the location now is known as the Portland Women’s Forum State Scenic Viewpoint. It overlooks a fantastic view of Crown Point and Vista House, and the Columbia River and Gorge. In the distance Bonneville Dam Complex and Beacon Rock can be seen. When the Chanticleer Inn burned down in 1930 the property was purchased by the Portland Women’s Forum and donated to the Oregon State Parks and Recreation Department.
