Penn State University ASOS - Weather Stations on Waymarking.com

This ASOS station is operated by the Penn State University Department of Meteorology, and located on the grounds of the Penn State Agricultural Research Center.

This weather station provides all the standard atmospheric measurements available at all registered ASOS stations, including temperature, dewpoint, wind, visibility, atmospheric pressure and precipitation measurements and type.

In addition to the ASOS, this station also includes some radiation instrumentation for research purposes. Plans are also in the works to construct several 90-meter towers with sonic anemometers for a high resolution vertical wind measurements.

Visit Instructions:
You must post Waymark coordinates as well as a picture
of you with a GPSr or Geocaching/Waymarking
attire/equipment and the subject weather station in
the background. The main photo should be of just the
weather station itself.
