The iron furnace is still standing & is now the site of a small park - near the point where the Appalachian Trail crosses the Yellow Breeches Creek.
The actual furnace is located at N 40° 08.889 W 077° 07.413 - about .25 mile S of the marker, along Bucher Hill RD.
Marker text is as follows:
Founded about 1762 by John Rigbie and Co. Operated after 1781 by Michael Ege, noted ironmaster of the period. Ruins of the charcoal furnace still stand.
