This granite monument is located on the courthouse grounds, in the midst of large trees. Each of the four sides of the monument mention a battle of the war: Shiloh, Belmont, Vicksburg, Chickamauga. Monument reads: "In Memory of all who followed the flag from 1861-1866, living and dead. Erected 1903."
