Barstow Fire Station 361, home of the F.D.N.Y. memorial
Across the USA, one can’t get much further away from New York than in the Mojave Desert, but the fire fighters of Barstow’s Fire Protection District Headquarters felt the losses of 9/11 as much as anybody else in the country.
A giant fire helmet, protected by an eagle commemorates the 343 NY fire fighters who made the ultimate sacrifice in the World Trade Center.
