Greatest of the educated Apaches, this Mohave-Apache Indian was taken captive at the Ace of Six by Pima Indians. He was sold to a white man who educated him as a physician. Dr. Montezuma had a splendid practice in Chicago and became a champion of Indian rights, but he died of tuberculosis in a brush hut near here, refusing all medical care.
