My son celebrated his 18th birthday here getting a tattoo of the shield of the Toledo Glassmen Drum Corps- (the Corps he traveled with for 2 summers in his high school career) put on his right shoulder blade. He called me as he was going in- and I met up with him and watched him receive his first tattoo.
Panama Red is the owner- a great guy.
I teach at a large career-based/technical perforing arts high school, and he has graciously allowed my students who are interested in a career as a tattoo artist to job-shadow him or to do a short term internship when they reach the legal age.
Panama Red is well-known in this area of Ohio. He has a clean shop and a talented staff.
My son- now an aviation sailor- stationed at Pensacola (FL) Naval Aviation Station has received 3 more tattoos.
I'll be visiting him soon and taking a tour of his favorite tattoo shops. Next stop for him- San Diego NAS to live aboard the USS Reagan. ....and an opportunity to receive a couple more tats.
