Established in 1824, Vienna is the county seat of Dooly County with a population of about 3,000. Vienna is perhaps known best as home of the Big Pig Jig, the southeast's largest and Georgia's oldest and official barbecue cooking contest. It is the birthplace of former Georgia governor George Busbee and also the home of the Georgia State Cotton Museum.
