The Ugly Mug - located on the Washington Street Mall - features the Ugly Mug Club - where members each have their own mug hanging from the wall. When a member is deceased, the mug is turned to face the ocean. Other traditions include a yearly Froth Blowing Contest.

The Mug also features sandwiches & seafood, in addition to, of course, beverages. There is often live entertainent in season. Due to the location along the pedestrian walkway, dining at one of the outside tables provides a great place to see all of "the action".
