One of 36 murals in Chemainus BC. It was painted by Paul Marcano of Victoria, BC in 1982 which makes it one of the earliest ones done in town. All the murals in town have some connection with Chemainus and it’s history. This one depicts Locomotive No. 4, an 80-ton Porter 2-6-2T, crossing a log bridge over the Chemainus River. The mural measures 53' x 22’ and is on the side of the old fire hall. It was painted by airbrush. (HnGB4)
