This beautiful memorial is a monument to firefighters and police who serve Elkhart, IN, especially those who gave the ultimate sacrifice. It is located in the Burton-Upon-Trent Park in Elkhart, IN.
The memorial consists of a large black monument with the list of those firefighters and police who have given their lives in the line of duty. In front of the monument are, on one side, a statue of a firefighter and, on the other a statue of a policeman leading a little girl. Between the two statues on the ground is the Elkhart symbol, an elk's head on a heart.
