This clock is contained in a handsome turret which has four transparent dials which are 5 ft in diameter. It was orginally light by gas.The burners were controlled by clockwork, turning on at sunset and off at sunrise.
The clock was erected at the expense of one individual, a John-Clark Isaac Esq. A plate fixed to the framework records the following-:
This clock, with the four dials and quarter-bells, was presented to the inhabitants of the Borough of Liskeard by John-Clark Isaac, Esq, during his Mayoralty in the year 1868.
