In Alamogordo, next to White Sands Missile Range, America’s largest rocket test area, is the New Mexico Museum of Space History, which is home to the International Space Hall of Fame.

It was established in 1976 to recognize the imagination, efforts, and achievements of those who have endeavored to advance man's knowledge of the universe, and his ability to explore space.

So far, 150 inductees of 20 countries - from 1600s astronomer Johannes Kepler to current astronauts have received this honor. Here are three examples:

The hall is maintained by Mr. Michael Smith, registrar at the NM Museum of Space History. We had a chance to talk to him and he was kind enough to give us his contact information. If you have any questions about this HoF, just email us and we’ll pass it on to the expert.
