The Historic Church of Saint Patrick, 130 Avondale Avenue Toledo, Ohio
Two two gargoyles from Gothic architecture guard the entrance of this historic downtown area church and disperse water dumped into them from eves on either side of the entranceway roof.
On the morning of September 9, 1980 I watched the steeple spire burn down from a lightning strike. Twenty seven years later in 2007 it was finally replaced.
