Celebrate 2000 Time Capsule - St. Augustine, FL - Made for the Millennium on Waymarking.com

What better way to commemorate the new millennium than with a time capsule? This one was placed in St. Augustine, the nation's oldest city, on January 1, 2000. A plaque was placed along the sea wall for folks passing by to learn of its existence.

This time capsule has a bit of a twist to it though - the plaque doesn't mark the location of the capsule. The capsule is buried in the muck at the bottom of the bay to keep it safe, somewhere in the general vicinity of the marker. The exact location of the piece is not disclosed though, so hopefully someone will have the coordinates when it comes time to open it January 1, 2100.
