I had a great visit with the landowner(s)here today.
The Barn and Tree can be viewed from the road with no problems.
Please do not go on the property without her permission though.
The Farm was her dads and she inherited it.
It is used for storage at this date.
According to legend Frank and Jessie James of the Famous James gang tied their horses to a tree in front of this barn.
The Burr Oak is 14'.1" in diameter and fits the age.
There was a Blacksmith Shop just north of the tree and a hand dug well just a little ways from it.
It is said by the locals that they drank from that very well.
Now the barn is late 1800's early 1900's I doubt that this barn was here but you never know.
But has been here longer than anyone can remember.
So you be the judge on your visit.
As always have fun be safe and
