The Jamestown Audubon Nature Center is located on the Burgeson Wildlife Sanctuary. The building supports many nature displays and some live animals. It has classrooms and a large auditorium for public programs. Many hands on displays are throughout the building. The top floor which can be reached by elevator has a beautiful view of the nature preserve. A large viewing window on the first floor allows visitors to get a closeup view of the songbirds at the feeders.
Behind the Nature Center is a large eagle enclosure with a live bald eagle. The 600 acre preserve supports a variety of wildlife and many scenic trails.
The Nature Center is the home of the main offices of the Jamestown Audubon Society which offers environmental education programs in the classroom and for the public. There are a few festivals throughout the year.
