St. Mary Magdalene's church is said to be the oldest building in Broughton in Furness,the church was founded in 1547.and first built in the Saxon times.
The doorway is dates from the Norman period.
The church has been extended in the 16th and 18th century's and mainly rebuilt in the 19th. century.
The inside of the church is currently closed for repairs but a notice on the door says it will reopen March 08.
The current church is from 1873 and the inside is entirely Victorian.
