This stone footbridge was built in the late 1800's and was built with large square stones. These stones were laid upon one another without the use of mortar. In addition, the builders managed to create an arch using keystones on either side which was rare in such a small bridge. Great care went into the construction of this bridge. The bridge is located in a beautiful area. If you continue uphill along the Finger Lakes trail you will come to the unique Rock City State Forest.
