Lawrin was the only Kentucky Derby winner that was bred in the state of Kansas. He was ridden by Eddie Arcaro. He was owned by Herbert Woolf who was part owner of a famous Kansas City department store called Woolf brothers. The location where these two horses are now buried is in the middle of a complex of condominums.
