One of the largest springs in Kentucky, a state with many springs, due to the large deposits of limestone. You can see the source up at the top of the one photo. This location is also considered to be the birthplace of bourbon, with this water source used in the process. See other nearby WMs.
The aquifer flows north from Lexington to this location.
