McMinnville Oregon Depot - Train Stations/Depots on Waymarking.com

A train station was first established in the city of McMinnville in 1880 when the Western Oregon Railroad built a mainline going south. At some point a brick passenger depot was built. The depot became part of the Southern Pacific empire in 1915 and in the early 20th century Red Electrics were used on the line. Passenger service is reported to have ended in 1929 when the line was dedicated to freight runs. In the early 1990's the Willamette & Pacific RR, a subsidiary of the Genesee & Wyoming RR, took over the line as the current freight carrier.

Willamette & Pacific uses this location in its daily work and the depot is unaccessible to the public.
