This historic sign marks the site of a hotel erected by Manassas Dellett in 1800. Town meetings and social affairs were held here. This site was later known as Patterson's Hotel. The hotel was demolished in 1975.

This historic site (and the sign) is about 8 feet off of the southwest intersection of Jackson and Atsion Roads. You will see a set of blinking red lights when you arrive. There are two historic markers on either side (the other is on the southeast side) of each other, this one and the Sign of the Buck marker.

The Indian Mills Historical Society has been collecting, preserving, and sharing the history of Shamong Township with its people for more than 34 years. There website can be found by clicking HERE
