This historically significant trestle is in the process of restoration (hopefully) or replacement. It is a vital link in the Trans Canada Trail system and a spectacular sight to see. It is currently the largest remaining trestle in the Commonwealth at 145 ft. high and spanning 614 feet and one of the highest wooden railway trestles in the world. Access is via Gleneagle Road west of Shawnigan Lake on the Renfrew Road. There is ample parking at the Kinsol bypass parking lot and then a 15 minute hike on flat ground. This will take you to the coordinates and an information kiosk. Alternately, the north approach is a rough road trail (Riverside Road) and is not recommended for average vehicles.
Bridge Type: Tresle
 Bridge Usage: Abandoned/Not Active
Moving Bridge: This bridge is static (has no moving pieces)
