This fountain is found alongside the Glen Iris Inn overlooking the Middle Falls in Letchworth State Park, New York. The fountain shoots a stream of water 30-35 feet into the air and it lands in a small pond at its base. During the Winter Season the landing stream of water will cause huge ice cones to form in the pond, often times being as large as 10 feet high.
According to some of my research, this fountain was part of the landscaping designed by William Webster for William Letchworth - the namesake of the Park. If this is accurate, it would mean that this fountain has been operating in some form for over 140 years.
