The church itself dates from the 13th century in its oldest parts. The gargoyle is in the same style as the stonework and is a typical creature. The condition of the gargoyle is very good and the views show its mouth is used for a water spout. It is designed to look as though it is squeezing out of the wall as its arms and hands push itself forwards. The spire of the church towers above it impressively and the surrounding countryside is superb here on a clear day.
Water spout is used: yes

Condition: Lightly Weathered
