Michigan Central Railroad Niles Depot
The Michigan Central Railroad Depot in Niles built 1891-92 was designed by
architects Frederich Spier and William C. Rohn. The Richardsonian
Romanesque styled depot is constructed of dark stone. The depot features a
60-foot tall clock tower. The depot has served continuously as a railroad
depot and continues to serve as a Amtrak depot along the Detroit
to Chicago route with four trains a day.
