Fortunately for me I decided to look for this mark (which is not in the Geocaching database) on an early morning drive in November.
Here is the official description in the official datasheet in the NGS (National Geodetic Survey) database:
STATION DESCRIPTION
DESCRIBED BY NORTH CAROLINA GEODETIC SURVEY 1998 (WLL)
STATION IS LOCATED ABOUT 13.3 MI (21.4 KM) WEST-SOUTHWEST OF SHALLOTTE AND 1.5 MI (2.4 KM) WEST OF CALABASH, AT THE NORTH CAROLINA-SOUTH CAROLINA STATE LINE, IN THE MEDIAN OF US 17 AND IN THE SOUTHWEST END OF THE FIRST CATCH BASIN, NORTHEAST OF THE STATE LINE. MARK IS ABOUT 3-FT LOWER THAN US 17 AND FLUSH WITH GROUND. LOCATED 142 FT (43.3 M) NORTHEAST OF THE CENTERLINE OF THE CROSSOVER AT THE STATE LINE, 33.9 FT (10.3 M) SOUTHEAST OF THE CENTERLINE OF US 17 SOUTHBOUND LANES AND 24.9 FT (7.6 M) NORTHWEST OF THE CENTERLINE OF US 17 NORTHBOUND LANES.
Remember: The NGS, NCGS, Groundspeak Staff, U.S. Benchmarks category managers, waymark poster, Internet Service Provider, & PC manufacturer are not liable for injuries resulting from visiting this waymark.
Seriously, excercise caution if you're crazy enough to look for this one!
