Maui Pohaku Loa - Whispering Giant Sculptures on Waymarking.com

Carved from a 7' wide Douglas Fir, and completed in 1988, this was the last in the series of "Whispering Giants". It's located a short distance east of Haleiwa, near Rocky Point, Oahu, Hawaii

UPDATE: On my last trip to the Island I wanted to see this again, but it's no longer there. Research finds that the statue is no longer displayed. It is now horizontal on private property.
