This is a most impressive transitional house with a soaring central tower decorated by twin classical columns. Each successive floor is gracefully set back. The sightlines are enhanced by multiple levels of hipped roofs and the asymmetry of an open front porch.
This house was designed six months after that for his his brother George. However, apparently Rollin did not appreciate it much as he moved to a house designed for him by George Maher after only a year.
