The entire square adjacent to the city's main Fire Stationon Wentworth Street now is a memorial to fallen firefighters.

There is a bell and a statue of a firefighter with names of fallen comrades engraved below his feet. Then there is the gazebo that has been transformed into a memorial for the 9 firefighters that were lost earlier in 2007 in a warehouse fire. The gazebo has six empty chairs facing an urn in the center of the gazebo that holds a Captain's helmet. It is a very moving memorial.
