Northwest Folklife - Festivals on Waymarking.com

My daughter and I attended the Northwest Folklife Festival on May 29, 2006 in Seattle Center, WA. There was entertainment everywhere you turned - musicians playing traditional and some very non-traditional instruments, folk dancers, jugglers, magicians - you name it! There were movie presentations ongoing throughout the day, poetry readings and visual displays - all with an 'international' or 'folk' theme. I enjoyed watching the free-spirited young people playing in the fountain, lazying on the lawn or wandering around enjoying the whole 'scene'. This was a chance for both artists and wanna-be's to show off their stuff. Eye candy everywhere. A wonderful way to spend the Memorial Day weekend in Seattle.
