Killed in action – 11 February 1970 – Quang Ngal Provance, Republic of South Vietnam
While assigned to Co. A of the 5th Battalion 46th Infantry of the 198th Light Infantry Bridge, 23rd Infantry Division (Americal), specialist Michael Robert Glenn United States Army was killed during a helicopter extraction from a hostile enemy area.
Specialist Glenn was assigned to an observation post to protect his unit perimeter during an air extraction from a hostile pick up zone. The helicopters supporting the unit received intense enemy fire from the immediate vicinity of Specialist Glenn’s position and returned air to ground suppressing fire against the enemy forces. Specialist Glenn was mortally wounded when he was struck by a stray round from the helicopter.
SP4 Michael Robert Glenn United States Army, was born 25 march 1948 in Smyrna, Georgia. He was drafted into the Army on 13 May 1969 and arrived in Vietnam on 23 October 1969.

This memorial is dedicated to Michael Robert Glenn who represents all of those who gave their life while performing dedicated and honorable military service to the people of the United States of America during the Vietnam War.
