Located on Main Street in Kingston, Georgia this monument is at the site of the Wayside Home as Confederate Hospitals were known. This hospital served over 10,000 sick and wounded during it's 3 years of existence. A remarkable record even in modern times. The entire area is rich with history. Sherman's headquarters where he planned the Atlanta campaign is close by. This site and the small town of Kingston, Georgia is well worth the time to visit if you are at all interested in Civil War history.
