The Transformers are divided into the good autobots, and the bad decepticon. Many years ago a cube was left on earth that the decepticons are trying to retrieve, and the autobots want to keep the decepticons from retrieving. Sam is pulled into the battle, because he has a pair of eyeglasses that have the location of the cube imprinted on them.
Much of the movie was shot in Detroit. Some scenes you can see the Fort Street signs. The Michigan Central Train station is easily identifable to most Detroiters.
