Las Flores View Point on the El Camino Real provides a vista of the ocean as well as the Marines from the Camp Pendleton practicing what they do best.

This Scenic Roadside Look-Out provides a view of the ocean. There are alot of these in California. What makes this one unique is that from this vantage point, you can view the Marines from nearby Camp Pendleton practicing on the road below, in the ocean and in the sky. The activites change every day, so this is one vista, were you can stop by often.

This day, the following actvities were occuring:
  • A SH-60 Seahawk Helicopter (Sporting a Magnetic Anomoly Detector on the bottom) practicing take-off, landing and hovering
  • A LCAC from Assault Craft Unit 5, the Swift Intruders
  • LHA-1 USS Tarawa amphibious assault ship doing amphibious assault things
Along with the Marines, there are various animals that beg for snacks.
