When the mechanism is set off, the angel with the hour glass turns its instrument; the rooster, at the top, beats its wings and raises its head crowing three times; the second angel keeps time while theothers play the hymn of Saint John the Baptist on the bells.
In a little oratory, Mary kneels in prayer; above her, a dove descends while the angel Gabriel enters through a door, across from her. In heaven, above, God gives three blessings. The Swiss circles around in greeting. Then everything freezes after the ringing of the hour.
