Built onto the farmhouse of Yorkshire emigrant George Bulmer (ca 1792), the Boultenhouse Heritage Centre is not only one of Sackville’s oldest surviving houses, but a dynamic new museum to showcase this area’s rich history.

Discover Sackville’s Maritime shipbuilding history in the home of this town’s most prolific shipwright, Christopher Boultenhouse. Experience early Victorian living in the parlour, which houses a rare handmade mural decoration from France!

Enjoy artifacts, maps and panels that portray Sackville’s past – its domestic life, merchants & manufacturing, and industrial growth.

The Boultenhouse Heritage Centre also houses an Education Room, a developing Resource Centre, and the administrative offices of the Tantramar Heritage Trust.
Marine and social history of the head Tantramar region, with additional focus on local architectural history and landscape heritage.
