Dwyer Stadium opened in 1996 to replace the original stadium of the same name. The original Dwyer Stadium opened in 1939 and was located on the same site. However it no longer met minor league specifications, so it was demolished to make room for the new one.
The stadium's seating consists a few rows of box seats from third base around to first base. The remainder are aluminum benches. A small concession stand is located behind home plate. Tickets are reasonably priced at $6 for box seats and $5 for general admission bleacher seats.
Batavia is the short season single-A team of the St. Louis Cardinals.
