"The Holland House, constructed in 1883 along the town's main street by successful rancher William H. Holland, was one of the first brick residences built in Buffalo, Wyoming and is a good example of a late Victorian vernacular brick house. The house is significant for its association with the settlement of the town of Buffalo and because of its association with the lives of the Holland family who were active participants in local government during both the nineteenth and twentieth centuries." ~ Wyoming State Historic Preservation Office website
