Inside a shopping mall is the museum. Totally staffed by volunteers, and run on grants, donations and sale of items from gift shop. This museum exists to show artifacts and provide a place for young and old to learn of the sacrifices that others have given to us the US.
The museum encompasses more than just the men and woman to whom the medal has been awarded. For example, a World War I display illustrates life in the trenches of this devastating conflict. Armor, headgear, weapons, even items from everyday military life make up a majority of the displays which include information on the Civil War, various Indian Wars, The Spanish-American War, World War I, World War II, the Korean Conflict and Viet Nam.
Theme: Cultural history. Giving a timeline of the heros and there actions to preserve the American way of life.
