The development of Evans Plunge began in 1890 however the springs which feed it were used by Sioux and Cheyenne long before. Evans Plunge named for Fred Evans is fed my numerous smaller warm springs and Mammoth Spring which feeds the interior pool. For many years the warm springs were promoted as a cure for many chronic ailments. Now the constant 87 degree water is promoted for relaxation and fun.
